Bus times for the stop you're standing at.
Whenbus opens on a map of what's around you and puts the next bus in 64pt. No stop code to remember, no search box to tap, no account to make.

The app is not out yet. Live arrival times for all 5,207 stops in Singapore are on this site now, and need no app at all.
- No account, ever
- Location stays on your phone
- Works with every SBS, SMRT and Tower Transit route
Two things it does that a timetable can't.
The map is the search
Open it. Your stop is already first.
The list follows the map. Pan or zoom and the stops change with it, so finding a stop is a gesture rather than a spelling test. Each card carries the code on the pole, the street, how far you'd walk, and the first arrival for every service.
Live Activity
Put one bus on your Lock Screen.
Follow a bus and its countdown moves to the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island, refreshed by push, so you can put the phone in your pocket and still know when to stand up.
- It stops on its own. The activity ends once the bus has gone. Nothing to remember to switch off.
- Swiping it away doesn't turn it off. The countdown is still running, and the Live screen inside the app brings it back.

A stop next to a station shows which lines you can change to, as code plates in LTA's own line colours. Not a house palette that's nearly right: the same green you're already scanning for on the platform.

What the marks mean.
Singapore's arrival feed says three different things, and only one of them is a number.
Minutes until the bus reaches this stop.
The bus is at the stop, or seconds from it. Time to move.
Nothing reported. Usually the last bus has gone for the night.
You'll get a seat.
Room to stand.
Limited standing. You may not get on.
Privacy
Nothing to sign up for. Your location stays put.
Your location is used on your iPhone to sort the stops near you, and it isn't sent to us. There are no accounts and no login, so nothing you do in the app is tied to an identity.

Is Whenbus available to download yet?
Not yet. The Whenbus iPhone app is in development and is not on the App Store. The bus stop pages on this website work now: every one of Singapore's 5,207 stops has a page with live arrival times, the buses that call there, and their first and last departures.
Where does Whenbus get its bus arrival times?
Whenbus reads live arrival times from LTA DataMall, the Land Transport Authority's official public data service. The times are the same ones LTA publishes to the bus stop display panels, so a countdown in the app and a countdown on the pole come from one source.
Do I need to type a bus stop code into Whenbus?
No. Whenbus opens on a map of where you are and lists the stops in view, nearest first, so the stop you are standing at is normally the first card on the screen. There is no search field: panning the map is how you look somewhere else.
What does Arr mean in a bus arrival time?
Arr means the bus is arriving now and is at or approaching the stop, rather than some number of minutes away. Whenbus prints it as a word instead of a number because it is not a quantity you can count down.
What does the slash mean in Singapore bus arrival times?
A slash means no arrival time is being reported for that slot. It usually means the service has finished for the night, is not running at that hour, or the operator is not currently reporting a position for the next bus.
How do live bus countdowns on the Lock Screen work?
Turning on live updates for one bus starts an iOS Live Activity, which puts that bus's countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. It refreshes over push notifications, so you do not have to keep Whenbus open. It ends on its own once the bus has gone, and swiping the banner away does not turn it off.
Does Whenbus track my location?
Your location is used on your iPhone to sort the stops around you and is not sent to us. There are no accounts and no login, so nothing you do in the app is tied to an identity. The free tier shows ads, and the partner that serves them receives standard device information, but never your location or the stops you look at.
Does Whenbus show MRT stations?
Whenbus shows the MRT and LRT stations at a bus stop as line-coloured code plates in the colours LTA prints on its own signs, so an EW21 plate on a stop card is the same green you are looking for on the platform. It shows the connection; it does not show train times.
Is Whenbus free?
Whenbus will be free to download and use, and the free tier will show ads. Whenbus Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes them. Every arrival time and live countdown works in full on the free tier without paying.
Is Whenbus available on Android?
No, and there is no Android version planned. Whenbus is an iPhone app, and its signature feature - Lock Screen Live Activities, with the countdown in the Dynamic Island - is built on iOS system surfaces that have no direct Android equivalent.
Coming soon. The stop pages are not.
